Things With Elephants On Them



Elephants are the biggest and heaviest land animals on the planet. There are 3 different species of elephants. Asian elephant , African forest elephant , and the African bush elephant . The biggest threat to elephants when they swim is currents that could move them from shallow waters to open sea in no time. Crocodiles could potentially kill an elephant, but it is very unlikely. The biggest threat to elephants when they swim is humans.

On the day I took this photo, I was with him on one of his longer swims and I used a weight belt to freedive down to get the angle I wanted. He’d totally immerse himself and use his trunk like a snorkel, which was so cool. Every morning, Rajan would go into the jungle or walk down to the beach. He went swimming whenever he felt like it. This helps their bodies stay cool, protects them from the sun and keeps parasites away. That is one of the reasons why you tend to see elephants around watering holes.
